Medicare help available at library

Need help navigating the confusing minefield that is Medicare?
Many Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers have found assistance through NARCOG – North Alabama Area Agency of Aging. Part of that service is information from SHIP, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program.
SHIP counselors are available to meet with Medicare beneficiaries  regarding Original Medicare, Medicare Part D, Medicare supplemental insurance and Medicare health plans. In addition, information will be available on how to apply for extra help to pay Medicare premiums and deductibles. All services are provided free of charge.
Individuals who are new to Medicare are encouraged to attend. Individuals will receive assistance June 14 from 2-3 p.m. at Hartselle Library.
