Ray Harris

A graveside service for Ray Harris, 80, of Falkville was Saturday, May 15, at 2 p.m. at New Hope North Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Reeves officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Harris died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born October 28, 1929, in Troy to Gus Harris and Rose Ellen Herndon Harris. He had 40 years service in construction and was a dedicated hard working farmer for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Pearl Harris.
He is survived by four daughters, Belinda Estes of Decatur, Carol Holmes and Sharon West, both of Falkville and Shirley Hopper of Hartselle; two brothers, Clarence Harris of Park City, Fla. and Ottis Harris of Phoenix City; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tony Estes, Kenneth Hopper, Chris Holmes, Chad Holmes, Joseph West and Beau Hammon.
