Funeral for Bernice Ruth McAnally, 90, of Somerville was Mon., May 24, at 1 p.m. at Valhermoso First Christian Church with Pastor Mickey Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. McAnally died Sat., May 22, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born April 2, 1920, in Morgan County to Monroe Cryer and Ola Wray Cryer. She was a lifelong member of Valhermoso Springs First Christian Church and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a substitute teacher, Sunday school teacher and Bible school teacher for approximately 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, David McAnally; a son, David Ray McAnally and wife Pat of Decatur; a daughter, Sherry Holmes and husband Jeff of Somerville; four grandchildren, Brandy Bedingfield and husband Scott, Dwain Holmes, Jon David McAnally and wife Andrea and Heather Duncan and husband Jamey; four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kayln and Allie Bed-ingfield and Graham Duncan.
Pallbearers were Mark McAnally, Scott Bedingfield, Fred Jennings, Billy Oakes, John David McAnally and Byron Jones.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
