Funeral for Wendell C. Bryan, 66, of Eva was Fri., June 18, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Smith officiating.
Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Bryan died Tue., June 15, 2010, at his residence. He was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Morgan County to Jesse Lee Bryan and Hassie Lorene Oden Bryan. He was a member of First Faith Church in Falkville and a teacher at A.P. Brewer High School for 30 years. He was awarded the District II Trade and Industrial Educator of the Year Award for 1979-1980 and was honored for the most outstanding vocational program in Alabama for 1983. He farmed cattle, row crops and hay on his Spring Hollow farm in Eva for 40 years and worked at Wolverine Tube for three years as an electrical engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra Bryan; a son, Joshua Bryan and wife Emily of Eva; a daughter, Rebecca Morgan and husband Paul of Eva; five brothers, Lavonis Bryan of Decatur, Marshall Bryan and wife Sherry of Hartselle, Alfred Bryan and wife Linda and Billy Bryan and wife Patricia, all of Falkville and Keith Bryan and wife Becky of Eva; and four sisters, Dean Nelson of Decatur, Peggy Nelson and husband Brownie of Athens, Loy Jones and husband Ron of Birmingham and Reba Pevahouse and husband Arthur of Joppa.
Pallbearers were Brett Bryan, Shane Bryan, Tim Nelson, Kerry Jones, Chris Blevins, Geremy Segars, John Boger and Bryan Nelson.
