Woman faces meth charges

A Hartselle woman is behind bars after deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office discovered her making methamphetamine.
Gwendelyn Renea Waddell, 39, of 1137 Mt. Tabor Road, is charged with unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance in the first degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Violent Crimes Task Force  searched Waddell’s home July 9 after a complaint from a neighbor.
During the investigation, agents found two large clandestine methamphetamine laboratories, including three gas generators, pseudoephedrine, ammonium nitrate, lithium strips, camp fuel, and liquid heat.  These were all found in the bedroom and bathroom. Agents also located finished methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and surveillance equipment.
A juvenile was also found at the home.
Waddell also has two active misdemeanor arrest warrants. She is facing additional charges in connection to the welfare of the juvenile.
Bond has not been set at this time.
