New building coming to North Park

A new building designed for concessions, bathrooms and storage will be going up soon at North Park in Priceville.
The Morgan County Commission approved a low bid of $57,904 from G-Core Constructing Inc. of Decatur at its July 13 regular meeting.  Two other construction firms submitted bids on the proposed project. They were Joiner Construction Co., $75,000 and CSA, $95,139.
The pre-engineered metal building will be 32 feet wide, 64 feet long and 10 feet high. It will be constructed on a four-inch concrete slab with three floor drains and will have 26-gage metal sidewalls and roof with three-inch insulation.
It will contain six standard doors, two roll-up windows and a concessions roll-up window.
The project will include rough-in plumbing for three bathrooms and concessions stand.
A resolution was also adopted giving the chairman supervisory authority over the day-to-day activities of Human Resources Director Terry Naccarato.
