A memorial service for Cory Stewart, 62, of Hartselle was Monday, July 26, at 6 p.m. at Beltline Church of Christ with Mike Nix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Stewart died Sat., July 24, 2010, at her residence. She was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Texas to Earl Wright Phares and Alta Emily Waring Phares.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Gunz.
She is survived by her husband, Travis Ray Stewart; two sons, Brady Edward Stewart of Hartselle and Dennis Jackson of Dallas, Tex.; three daughters, Laura Joe Cates of Dallas, Tex., Carma Lea Paden of Phoenix, Ariz., and Darline Donavan of Houston, Tex.; three brothers, Herbert L. Stewart of Adamsville, Tenn., Roy Phares of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Butch Phares of Austin, Tex.; two sisters, Ann Jaques and Mary Stewart, both of Uvalde, Tex.; and 12 grandchildren.
