Funeral for Ella Mae Chavis Hogan, 72, of Hartselle was Tue., July 27, at 5 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Jess White officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Hogan died Sat., July 24, 2010, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1938, in North Carolina to Lacey Chavis and Elsie Chersack. She was a member of First Assembly Church of God in Hartselle. She retired from Garden City Water Department in Garden City, Mich. after 23 years as an account clerk.
She is survived by a son, Danny Hogan and wife Gloria of Massey; two daughters, Teresa Hogan and husband Marty McGee of Massey and Lisa Reed of Hartselle; her mother, Elsie Chersack of Oak Island, N.C.; a sister, Jeanette Finn and husband Leonard of Oak Island, N.C.; four grandchildren, Stephen Hogan, Allison Hogan, Nathanial Reed and Amelia Reed; two nieces, Stephanie Finn and Debra Baron; and a nephew, Brian Finn.
