Dorothy Nell Battles Barrett

A graveside service for Dorothy Nell Battles Barrett, 81, of Hartselle will be Thur. (today), Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. at Herring Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Barrett died Mon., Aug. 16, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 7, 1928, in Morgan County to John Elbert Doss and Emily Alice Fitzgerald Doss. She was a member of Cedar Plains Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Battles and a sister, Pauline Doss Jones.
She is survived by two brothers, J.W. Doss and wife Dorothy of Massey and Bobby Doss and wife Telette of Hartselle; a niece and caretaker, Brenda Crow and husband Charlie; and a nephew, Kenneth Jones and wife Kathy.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
