Patriot celebration set for Sept. 11

The first Morgan County 9/11 memorial and celebration is planned for Sept. 11 from 1:30-9 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo Grounds.
The family friendly day promises an array of activities and sights for patriots of all ages.
The free event is open to the public and donations will be accepted. The event will include law enforcement, fire department, medical personnel and military representatives. There will be fire, law enforcement and EMS competitions and activities, as well as fire trucks, helicopters, bands and concessions. There will also be fireworks at the end of the event.
Visitors are asked to bring lawn chairs and carpool due to limited parking.
