Clifton ‘Big Tres’ Smith

Funeral for Clifton “Big Tres” Smith, 23, of Hartselle was Thursday, August 19, at 6 p.m. at Fairview Church of God with the Revs. Milan Dekich, Clyde Ledlow and Mickey Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Roundtop Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born April 21, 1987, in Morgan County. He loved God and was a Christian man. He loved to fish and loved his family, especially his sister, Autumn. He was a 2005 graduate of Austin High School where he played football. He was the rock of his family. Anyone who ever met him loved him. He was an artist and loved drawing cars, loved Atlanta Braves baseball and NASCAR. He was one of the biggest Alabama fans ever.
He is survived by his father, Clifton Smith and wife Cynthia of Hartselle; his mother, Nonnie Ferguson of Tennessee; three sisters, Autumn Smith and Courtney Smith. both of Hartselle and Paige Brewer and husband Daniel of Decatur; his grandmothers, Carolyn Ledlow of Ardmore and Linda McElyea of Hartselle; a niece, Keelee Brewer; and a very special friend, Alicia Barkley of Hartselle.
His Crew served as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the “Autumn Smith Scholarship Fund” at Family Security Credit Union in honor and memory of “Tres” Smith.
