Funeral for Robert E. McClanahan, 77, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Reeves and Equator Black officiating.
Burial was in Somerville Church of God Cemetery.
Mr. Callahan died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Jefferson Rehab and Health Care Center in Birmingham. He was born Feb. 15, 1933, in Lawrence County to James Albert Callahan and Ella Owens Callahan.
He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxie Freeman Callahan and a son, Robert Harold Callahan.
He is survived by his wife, Ina Jean Collins Callahan; a daughter, Bobbie Callahan Nix and husband Mark of Hartselle; two sisters, Pauline Maples and Janet Eddy and husband Kenneth, both of Hartselle; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Nix, Matt Adcock, Christopher Callahan, Justin Harold Callahan, Hillard Long and Lynn Callahan.
