Elizabeth Cooper Brown, “Libby” to her closest friends, 84, died Tue., Sept. 7, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Magazine, Ark. to William Roland Cooper and Nettie Elizabeth Cooper. She was a resident at Decatur Health and Rehab Center. She touched and blessed the lives of so many people and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Nelieve Brown; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a son, Larry Cooper Brown and wife Debbie of Hudson, Mich.; a daughter, Nicki Brown Lemmond and husband Mert of Decatur; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private funeral with Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home assisting is scheduled.
