Funeral for Rev. James “Ed” Edmondson, 75, of Danville was Sat., Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Bibleway House of Prayer Church on Ironman Road with the Rev. Frankie Harvel officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery.
Rev. Edmondson died Wed., Sept. 22, 2010, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Tanner to John Franklin Edmondson and Anna Bell Elrod Edmondson. He had worked at Sterchi Brothers Furniture and Presbyterian Towers and was the pastor of the Bibleway House of Prayer Church. Church work was his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John H. Edmondson.
He is survived by his wife, Arlin Edmondson of Danville; two sons, Eddie Edmondson and wife Donna and Kevin Edmondson and wife Jennifer, all of Decatur; seven daughters, Wanda Odell and husband Larry and Becky Hogan and husband Jack, all of Danville; Kathy Harris and husband Dale of Falkville, Linda Putman and husband Lloyd of Athens, Patricia Mahaffey and husband Ben of Hanceville, Liz Hughes and husband Ricky of Decatur and Mary Kelley of Moulton; a sister, Bonnie Fromer of Decatur; 22 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Miller, Jamie Waits, Mitchell Hallmark, Jack Hogan, Jeff Sparks and Larry Odell.
