Funeral for Eleanor Ray Prince, 78, of Hartselle was Fri., Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Ammons officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Prince died Tue., Sept. 28, 2010, at her residence. She was born Nov. 16, 1931, in Morgan County to Bill Slaten and Ruby Lawrence Slaten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Roosevelt Prince, two brothers, Russell and Donald Slaten and her twin sister, Fay Fite.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Ray Prince (Dr. Joe Openshaw); three daughters, Edna Whitman and husband Larry, Mary Kyker and husband Jerry and Lisa Hatfield; a stepdaughter, Annie Ruth Fowler; three brothers, Raymond Slaten, Frank Slaten and Joe Slaten; five sisters, Violet Blackburn, Betty Watson, Ruth Baldwin, Lucille Crume and Shirley Rabens; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joey Kyker, Ben Whitley, Jeff Kyker, Terry Whitley, Greg Holmes and Kerry Reeves.
Honorary pallbearers were Daniel Openshaw, Shane Glaze, Paxton Reeves, Jacob Holmes, Thomas Fowler and Steve Fowler.
