Funeral for Mary Alice “Tootsie” Shedd Jessup, 74, of Huntsville was Tuesday, October 5, at 12 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Jessup died Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 10, 1936, in Marion County to Chas C. Shedd and Mary Trapp Shedd. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Donnette Ledbetter; five brothers, Charles M. Shedd, Berry Shedd, Grady Mack Shedd, Thomas Shedd and Cleston Shedd; and a sister, Bobbie Ann Sparks.
She is survived by two daughters, Susie McMillan and husband Bob of Decatur and Jeanie Austin and husband Jimmy of Somerville; son-in-law, Larry Ledbetter of Decatur; two brothers, Eugene Shedd and wife Pat of Guntersville and Lionel Shedd and wife Sybil of Hartselle; a sister, Lillian Hancock and husband William of Hartselle; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were family members.
