Stolen vehicles recovered

A Somerville man faces charges of receiving stolen property after police found him sitting in a car that had been reported stolen in Decatur.
Joseph Jackson, 22, was found sitting in a suspicious vehicle at the corner of Joyce Street and Bluff City Road on Sept. 30. Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies noticed the driver’s window had been broken and the ignition switch was punched in. An investigation revealed the car had been reported stolen from Decatur.
Jackson told deputies he was there to work on another car with a friend. Deputies later located that car and discovered it was reported stolen out of Priceville.
Jackson was arrested on two counts of receiving stolen property in the first degree. More arrests are expected.
