Woman faces theft charges

A Hartselle woman faces theft charges in connection with money lost in Decatur.
Ruth Melson Hill, 67, of 1219 Lot 6, East Main Street in Hartselle, faces charges of theft of lost property in the second degree. According to the Decatur Police Department, a representative of Decatur Motor Company lost a folder with more than $500 in the parking lot of Ezpay Auto Insurance in Decatur. The case was later turned over to the Decatur Police, who identified Hill as a suspect.
She was later arrested and taken to Morgan County Jail on $2,500 bond.
