George Robert Keener

Funeral for George Robert Keener, 85, of Lacey’s Spring was Wed., Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church at Lacey’s Spring with the Rev. Al Phillips officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Keener died Mon., Nov. 22, 2010. He was born March 18, 1925, in Dekalb County to George Hubert Keener and Birdie Lee Fowler Keener. He was a retired electronical engineer from Redstone Arsenal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eugenia Keener; a son, Charles Herbert Keener; a brother, Herbert Keener; and his parents.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Clinton Keener and wife Suzie, David Lee Keener and wife, Sondra and Tommy Keener and wife JoAnn; two brothers, Hubert Keener and Marvin Kee-ner; a sister, Deb Scruggs; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
