Marvin Bowling

Funeral for Marvin Bowling, 92, of Somerville was Wed., Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at New Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Eldridge Criscoe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Bowling died Sun., Nov. 21, 2010, at his daughter’s residence. He was born May 3, 1918, in Morgan County to Luther Walter Bowling and Ella Lee Lawrence Bowling. He was a retired school teacher from the Morgan County School System. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Louise Fowler Bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hogan Bowling; two daughters, Ann Chastain of Decatur and Rebecca Hughes of Falkville; two sisters, Bessie Junkins of Guntersville and Luther-ene Greenhaw of Union Grove; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Harold Smallwood, Carlton Fow-ler, Paul Fowler, Walter Greenhaw, Kyle Bowling and Eric Chastain.
