Funeral for Billy D. Shepard, 63, of Hartselle was Sat., Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Har-old Fanning officiating.
Mr. Shepard died Thur., Nov. 25, 2010. He was born Jan. 9, 1947, in Troup County, Ga. to George Dewey Shepard and Rosa Lee Smith Shepard. He served in the Armed Forces for 22 years in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion of Hartselle and the VFW of Falkville.
He is survived by his wife, Doris J. Shepard; a son, Billy Shane Shepard of Rainsville; two daughters, Cathy Diane Gullion and Susan Alyece Blank-enship, both of Hartselle; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a niece, Shelia Malloy.
Pallbearers were Donald Steel, Billy Miller, Tyler Simmons, Jerry M. Woodall, Blake Woodall and Ryan Steel.
