Brewer wins pair in tournament

Brewer finished with two wins during its own round-robin tournament last week.
Austin finished with a 3-0 mark to win the Brewer Lady Patriots Thanksgiving Classic’s team title in the event that was played Wednesday and Saturday.
The Lady Patriots came out of the tournament with a 6-2 mark with some strrong play from senior guard Hannah Crawford, who finished with 60 points in the three games Brewer played.
Austin 59, Brewer 48
Brewer opened the tournament with an 11-point loss to Class 6A Austin despite getting 21 points from Hannah Crawford.
Savana Flack added eight points and Courtney Oldacre finished with seven points.
Brewer 58, Cold Springs 50
Hannah Crawford led all scorers with 20 points as the Lady Patriots held off two-time defending Class 2A state champion Cold Springs in the Lady Patriot Thanksgiving Classic.
Hannah Crawford, who led the Lady Patriots in scoring in all three games in the tournament, finished with 20 points. Riley Northway chipped in with 11 points, while Cheyenne McLemore and Danielle Dunn added nine and eight points respectively.
Brewer 58, Decatur 40
Hannah Crawford scored 19 points and Courtney Oldacre added 18 as the Lady Patriots hammered Decatur 58-40.
