Lady Hawks win own tournament
DANVILLE – Danville beat Good Hope 67-64 in overtime to win the Danville Thanksgiving Tournament Saturday.
Ashley Nance scored four of her team-high 24 points in overtime to lead the Lady Hawks to the win. Nance also added 11 rebounds.
The Lady Hawks outscored West Morgan 6-3 in overtime.
Danville improved to 9-0 on the season with the three wins in the tourney.
Kayloni Cross finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the win.
Danville 61, West Morgan 35
Danville reached the finals of the three-day tournament with an impressive 61-35 win over rival West Morgan in the semifinals.
Nance led the Lady Hawks with 18 points, while Haley Rae Garnett added 10 points.
West Morgan’s Hayden Hamby finished with 21 points.
Priceville 63, Cullman 53
Priceville had four players finish in double figures in a 10-point win over Cullman.
Presley Darling led the Lady Bulldogs with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Sydney McLendon added 13 points. Morgan Ponder and Amber Smith both chipped in 11 points each.
Priceville moved to 6-3 overall with two wins in the tournament.
Priceville 61, Holly Pond 57
Presley Darling scored 17 points as Priceville held off Holly Pond.
Molly Thompson and Morgan Ponder finished with 12 points each.
