Funeral for Ben Cahela, 49, of Eva was Sat., Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at Oden Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Alred and Dewayne Harper officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery.
Mr. Cahela died Wed., Dec. 8, 2010, at his residence. He was born July 20, 1961, in Madison County to James Newman Cahela and Cora Irene Mooney Cahela. He was retired from the U.S. Army and Goodyear Tire & Rubber, a member of the Oden Ridge Fire Department and a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Ronald Cahela.
He is survived by a son, Ben “Bubba” Cahela Jr. of Eva; and two sisters, Vera McCoy of Eva and Nona Waid of Southside.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
