Funeral for Donald Thomas Prince, 58, of Decatur was Sun., Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Formby officiating.
Burial was in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Prince died Thur., Dec. 9, 2010, at his residence. He was born July 8, 1952, in Morgan County to Herman Clyde Prince and Alice Shropshire Prince. He was a graduate of Cotaco High School and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Alabama and later earned his Master’s degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music, reading and collecting books. He supported many charities and loved his dog, Noel and his mother. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Prince.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Shropshire Prince of Decatur and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were Wayne Smith, Charlie Prince, Wesley Tankersley, Ron Terrell, Chester Walker, Morris Braly, Marlon Clemons and Joe Ed Tankersley.
