Funeral for Nelda Slate, 80, of Hartselle was Tue., Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Smith officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Slate died Sun., Dec. 12, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 13, 1930, in Morgan County to Everett B. Randle and Eva Elizabeth Haynes Randle. She was a retired registered nurse. She had worked at Pineview Hospital and Parkway Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Max Slate; three daughters, Joan Saunders, Vicki Miller and Gail Owens; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Saunders, Mike Waughhop, Justin Owens, Ken Owens, Robert Saunders and Jim Slate.
