Ann Skipworth

Funeral for Ann Skipworth, 74, of Priceville was Sunday, December 19, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Hodges officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Skipworth died Thursday, December 16, 2010, at her residence. She was born July 27, 1936, to Frank Burns Jr. and Lillie Mae Butler Burns. She worked for Walmart in Decatur for 32 years, retiring in 2000. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to their needs as well as her church family and friends. She was a devoted Christian woman and was a lifelong member of Rural Grove Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Burns.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Skipworth of Priceville; three daughters, Cindy Tapscott and husband Paul Wayne and Pam Riddle, all of Hartselle and Donna Howard and husband Clint of Decatur; nine grandchildren, Josh Riddle, Joey Strickland, April Linville, Andrew Howard, Chase Howard, Amanda Tapscott, Hunter Tapscott, Kristi Tapscott and Tracy Tapscott; and three great-grandchildren, Conner Strickland, Caitlin Strickland and Marcus Turney.
Pallbearers were Dewey Alsbrooks, Jim Cochran Jr., Sonny Westmoreland, Johnny Burns, Anthony Burns and Ray Gleen.
