Funeral for Jerry Ryan, 64, of Decatur was Monday, December 20, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Johnson officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Ryan died Thursday, December 16, 2010, at his residence. He was born January 3, 1946, in Morgan County. He was of the Baptist Faith and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Archologial Society and loved spending time with friends and loved ones and was a big NASCAR Earnhardt fan. He retired from the State of Alabama after 29 years of service and was a member of the Somerville Masonic Lodge #721 F.&A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge Wilson “T.W.” Ryan and Wilda Corrine Muzzey Ryan; a son, Jeffrey Ray Ryan; and a brother, Anthony Craig “Tony” Ryan.
He is survived by a son, Chad Ryan and wife Daphne of Decatur; a brother, Rodney Steven Ryan of Tuscumbia; and two grandchildren, Justin Douglas Ryan and Jessic Rae Ryan.
