Pair arrested on meth possession charges
A Hartselle woman and a Decatur man were arrested last week after Decatur police discovered methamphetamines in their vehicle.
Theresa Dawn Wilson, 35, of 1801 Cornhill Road in Hartselle and Kenny Lee Haggermaker, 32, of 1502 15th Street in Decatur, were arrested after a Dec. 15 traffic stop near the intersection of Lafayette Street and 6th Ave. Northeast in Decatur. Officers discovered Wilson’s drivers license had been revoked.
A search of the car later led to the discovery of methamphetamine, drug use paraphernalia and prescription medications.
Both were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug use paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs.
Wilson faces additional charges in relation to driving with a revoked license and failing to use a turn signal. Haggermaker is also charged with giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
Wilson’s bond was later set at $4,500. Haggermaker’s bond was set at $4,000.
He was in the Morgan County Jail on drunk driving charges.
