Wayne Maxwell

Funeral for Wayne Maxwell, 83, of Somerville was Monday, December 20, at 11 a.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Revs. Vandon Windsor and Katherine Perkins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Maxwell died Friday, December 17, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born October 10, 1927, in Morgan County to Samuel Herbert Maxwell and Lena Matilda Maxwell Edmondson. He was a member and music director of Antioch Methodist Church for 50 years. He was retired from Redstone Arsenal. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Glynda Maxwell Cobb and Robbie Rene Maxwell; a granddaughter, Brittany Maxwell; a brother, Grady Marshall; and a sister, Betty Jean Maxwell.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Maxwell of Somerville; a son, Ken Maxwell and wife Anena of Somerville; a daughter, Rhonda Maxwell Booth and husband Cliff of Hartselle; a brother, Bobby Maxwell of Somerville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lee Cobb, Thomas Cooper, Jonathan Osgood, Niren Kapoor, Tim Walker and Bill Walker.
