John Lee Burch

Funeral for John Lee Burch, 92, of Decatur was Friday, Dec. 24, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Teresa Wahl officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Burch died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 9, 1918, in Morgan County to John Thomas Burch and Grace Lee Aldridge Burch. He was a 1950 graduate of the University of Alabama and served in the 8th Weather Squadron of the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1945 during World War II. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jeannette Burch; three daughters, Jo Ann Linkous and husband L.W., Patricia Siek and husband Gordon and Susan Hill and husband Randy, all of Deca-tur; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
