Milton Clear Chaney
Funeral for Milton Clear Chaney, 78, of Moulton was Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Danville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Chaney died Fri., Dec. 24, 2010, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 24, 1932, in Morgan County to Jacob Dotson Chaney and Viday James Chaney.
A Joe Wheeler EMC retiree with 30 years of service, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a member of Danville Baptist Church for 61 years and was married to his wife Joyce for 59 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Clear Chaney; a daughter, Frances Suzzanne Chaney; and three brothers, Lloyd Chaney, Billy Chaney and Kyle Chaney.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Joyce Chaney; a son, Gary L. Chaney and wife Jalena of Moulton; three daughters, Janie Lynn Waldrop of Decatur and Mary Lou Asherbranner and husband Jimmy and Nancy Leola Sartin and husband Brian, both of Danville; a brother, J.D. Chaney of Danville; five grandchildren, Adam Waldrop and wife Meg, Logan Asherbranner and wife Sara, Jacob Chaney, Stephanie Patterson and husband Adam and Dylan Sartin; and three great-grandchildren, Brodie Waldrop, Mason Asherbranner and Addison Chaney.
Pallbearers were Adam Waldrop, Logan Asherbranner, Jacob Chaney, Stephanie Chaney Patterson, Adam Patterson and Bobby Chaney.
Honorary pallbearers were Dylan Sartin and Brodie Waldrop.
