Collard Greens
1 can collard greens
1/4 teaspoon sugar or Sweet ‘N Low
1/2 cup cooked ham
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook on low heat for 5 or 10 minutes.
Serve with canned spice peaches and cornbread.
Never serve the same dinner menu to the same guests. Keep a list of your guests and the menu served.
Pickled Beets
1 can whole beets
Juice from one jar of pickles (any kind of pickles)
Drain liquid from the canned beets, cover the beets with pickle juice. Cover and chill for at least four hours. Good to serve with collard greens.
