Gilbert ‘Gene’ Clemons

A graveside service for Gilbert “Gene” Clemons, 86, of Hartselle was Thursday, December 30, at 1 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery with Bob Cyphers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Clemons died Tue., Dec. 28, 2010, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born March 27, 1924, in Morgan County to Jessie Clemons and Louise Woods Clemons. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippians. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Ann Clemons and a son, David Eugene Clemons.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Mae Brown Clemons; a son, James Allen Clemons of Decatur; a daughter, Dinah Lee Clemons of Pottsboro, Tex.; a brother, Charles L. Smith of Yisa-lanti, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Roy, Robbie, Chris, Cody, Brandon, Mad-ison and Rhonda; and five great-grandchildren, Ray, Hailey, Brandon, Christine and Junior.
Pallbearers were Lee Brown, Brandon Clemons, Christopher Clemons, Roy Zeman, Ray Brown and Robert Zeman.
