Funeral for Leta Ellen Lawrence Levens, 76, of Hartselle was Tue., Jan. 4, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Levens died Sat., Jan. 1, 2011, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1934, in Morgan County to Gurney Asbury Lawrence and Vera Coree Black Lawrence. She retired from Saginaw and was a member of New Center Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Garland Levens; a brother, Buddy Lawrence; and two sisters, Ruth Brown and Addeline Driver.
She is survived by two brothers, W.A. Lawrence of South Pittsburg, Tenn. and Oscar Lawrence of Hartselle; two sisters, Faye Barbee and Betty Sue Anthony, both of Hartselle; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Butch Dixon, Rickey Driver, Mitchell Driver, Evin Driver, Zachary Sparkman, James Sparkman and Kyle Beaver.
