Betty Jean White Simmons
Funeral for Betty Jean White Simmons, 73, was Fri., Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Garrison officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Ms. Simmons died Wed., Jan. 5, 2011. She was born Aug. 5, 1937, to Earnest “Wild Bill” White and Mattie Aurelia White. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronnie White. She was cherished and loved by all and was a member of Christ Fellowship Church of God. She will be missed very much and her precious memories will live on always.
She is survived by a son, Vondal White of Moulton; a daughter, Shelia Palmer and husband Johnny of Addison; three grandchildren, Jamie Smothers, Shelonda Hayes and husband Dusty and Lacinda Casey and husband Brad; and four great-grandchildren, Jase Smothers, Hannah Smothers, Blake Casey and Tucker Hayes; three brothers, Roger White and wife Brenda of Danville; Harry White and wife Beverly of Athens and Frank White and wife Cathlene of Hartselle; three sisters, Patricia Hagood and husband Hershel of Moulton, Judy Williams of Danville and Mary Smothers of Hartselle;.
Pallbearers were Willie Johnson, Harold Hagood, Howard Hagood, Dion White, John Williams and Christopher Smothers.
