Edith Parker Maples

Funeral for Edith Parker Maples, 88, of Hartselle will be Sun., Jan. 16, at 3 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Maples died Mon., Jan. 10, 2011, at her residence. She was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Morgan County to John William Parker and Frances Loujennie Poole Parker. She was a homemaker and a member of New Center Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Maples; a son, J.T. Maples; and a granddaughter, Christina “Sissy” Maples.
She is survived by four sons, Jimmy Maples of Cullman, Frankie Maples of Hartselle, Avery Maples of Trinity and Larry Maples of Culleoka, Tenn; three daughters, Glendell Terry, Kathryn Monk and Tammy Whitten, all of Hartselle; a sister, Nina Brown of Hartselle; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
