Mike Turner
Funeral for Mike Turner, 60, of Decatur was Wed., Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Ron Manley and Cecil Berry officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Turner died Sat., Jan. 8, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1950, in Morgan County to Cecil C. Turner and Nora Ella Sharp Turner. He was a wonderful man who cared for everyone more than his own self. He helped people his entire life and was very passionate about his work. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He built a legacy in his business and worked hard everyday for his family. He was owner and operator of Personal Touch Health Care and Pharmacy on Sixth Avenue in Decatur and was a respiratory therapist for Decatur General Hospital, Pineview Hospital, Hartselle Hospital, Moulton Hospital and Haleyville Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Jasmin C. Turner; a daughter, Mollie Baldwin and husband Chip of Decatur; a stepson, Brian Rhodes; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Rhodes; a brother, Cecil Howard Turner and wife JoAnn of Decatur; six grandchildren, Sam, Alex, Maddie, Blake, Max and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jack Martin, Alex Reyes, Jacob Pfeiffer, Jimmy Sharp, Carlos Castillo, Andre’ Castillo and William Chenault.
Honorary pallbearer was Ronald Sparkman.
