Funeral for Ernest Sanford, 83, of Decatur will be Saturday, January 22, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Sanford was born January 30, 1927, in Lawrence County, to Elmer Sanford and Eura Lee Flayhauw Sanford. He was a member of South Decatur Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Alvi Gene Sanford of Decatur; a son, Gerry Sanford and wife Judy of Decatur; a sister, Marie Steele of Danville; and a grandson, Sandy Sanford and wife Christine of Decatur.
