Funeral for Stephen Kedrick Legg, 56, of Hartselle will be Sunday, January 23, at 2:30 p.m. at First Independent Methodist Church in Flint with the Rev. Hal Daigre officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Legg died Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born September 21, 1954, in Morgan County to Kedrick Earl Legg and Elizabeth Jean Carrell Legg. He was a member of First Independent Methodist Church in Flint where he served as an elder. He faithfully served God, his country and his family. He served in four different branches of the military, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. He was retired from the Air National Guard and was a devoted father, husband, son and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Melson Legg; two daughters, Chelsea Kathleen Legg and Maria Kelson Legg, both of Hartselle; his parents, Kedrick Earl Legg and Elizabeth Jean Legg of Hartselle; a brother, Brian Keith Legg of Moulton; and a sister, Melinda Legg Ashcraft of Priceville.
Pallbearers will be friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Independent Methodist Church Youth Fund.
