Count your blessings, be thankful for good health

We sometimes take our health for granted and fail to count our blessings. There was a time in my life when I took my blessings for granted, but after my mom, Bessie Ward, died of cancer I thanked God for my health and all of the blessings He has given me. It helped me become a better person. But I know in my heart that my mom’s spirit is in heaven and that she is not in pain anymore. I just wanted to share this with Hartselle Enquirer readers.

Special congratulations go out this week to Mike and Erica Steelman on the birth of their son, Aiden Gregory Steelman. He was born Dec. 6 weighing six pounds and eight ounces and measuring 20 inches. Aiden’s proud grandparents are Gerald and Beverly Cochrane and Claybern and Willodean Steelman. His great-grandparents are Blondie Morris and the late Tobe Morris.
Shady Grove Baptist Church members have expressed loving memory for the following deceased church members: Kathryn Edwards, Jan. 11, 1920 – Dec. 28. 2006; Joe Lacey, Jan. 11, 1953 – Dec. 31, 2006; Hazel Wallace, Jan. 29, 1922 – Aug. 12, 1999; and Allene Turrentine, Jan. 29, 1931 – Feb. 11, 2001.
