Mrs. Wright died Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was born May 16, 1952, to Boyd and Hazel Childers Stinson at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, La. She was a member of the 1970 class of Eva High School and a graduate of St. Vincent’s Nursing School in 1973. She began her career in nursing at the age of 16 at Hartselle Medical Center and retired after 40 years in her beloved career. In 2010 she had one of her proudest moments in her life when she watched her daughter Brooke take up her lamp and continue the love of nursing. She shared many great times with her family as they traveled to their favorite place, Disneyworld. She was an enormous advocate of education. She continued to learn and thirsted for knowledge on a daily basis. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts with her granddaughter, Hayleigh. Her grandson, Donevan, was her buddy and he will always be “Granny’s Boy”. She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Larry J. Wright of Eva; a son, Brian Christopher Wright and his wife Heather of Tuscaloosa; a daughter, Brooke Ashleigh Robinson and husband Don of Eva; her mother, Hazel Stinson of Eva; two sisters, Kathy Jane Holmes and husband Steve of Fairview and Teresa Ann Runge and husband Bruce of Vinemont; and two grandchildren, Hayleigh Dallas Robinson and Donevan Lakota Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Tim Wright, Randy Childers, Lee Ingram, Michael Moss, PeeWee Murphy and David Runge.
Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses at Hartselle Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
