Bulldogs claim B-team title game
Hayden Prentice scored 25 points include five baskets from downtown to help Priceville defeat Brewer 41-33 in the B-team boys championship game of the Morgan County Tournament Saturday at West Morgan High School.
Prentice only scored once in the first quarter, a 3-pointer at the buzzer that gave the Bulldogs a 10-8 lead heading to the second quarter.
Brewer and Priceville battled through a rough, low-scoring second quarter as the lead changed hands a couple of times. However, the Bulldogs held an 18-15 lead at the break.
The Bulldogs took it to the Patriots in the third quarter by outscoring Brewer 14-5 to take a 32-22 lead. Priceville didn’t hit many field goals in the final stanza, but they made up for it at the line as they cruised to the win.
Harold Blades and Jackson Morris both scored 4 for the Bulldogs while Justin Davis and Tyler Hinkle both had 3.
Seth McCutheon led the Patriots with 13 followed by Brandon Elder with 9 and Weston Pretchett and Ben Turney with 3 each.
