A graveside service for Georgia A. Wilson, 77, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, February 2, at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Zionsville, Indiana.
Visitation will be at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home in Zionsville, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mrs. Wilson died Friday, January 28, 2011, at her residence. She was born March 29, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She lived in Zionsville until 1979, moved to Ventura County, California until 1998 and then retired to Hartselle. Her zest for life lead her to lifelong hobbies of making cakes, sewing, ceramics, artisan of miniature doll “Wee Dolls,” one of the founders of STCBTS club and breeding AKC West Highland white terriers for show. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jimmie Keith Wilson; a son, Jimmie Jr.; a brother, William “Bill” Rider; and two sisters, Joanne Spencer and Francis Hillis.
She is survived by four children, Kathy Stoddard of Oregon, Jerry Wilson of California and Wendy Wilson and Terry Wilson and wife Martha, all of Alabama; two grandchildren, Richard Stoddard and Tracy Pitts; and two great-grandchildren, Daniel Pitts and Brooklinn Pitts.
