Funeral for Willis Edward Taylor, 81, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, February 9, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Redmond officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mr. Taylor died Saturday, February 5, 2011, at his residence. He was born February 22, 1929, in Morgan County to George D. Taylor and Georgia Campbell Taylor. He was retired from Amoco Chemical in Decatur and was a Baptist and a U.S. Navy veteran. He loved hunting, fishing and Alabama football.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Taylor; a son, Richard Taylor and wife Donna of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, John D. Taylor and wife Ellie of Decatur and Gordan Taylor and wife Marie of Pearl River, N.Y.; and a sister, Jean Long of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Long, Chris Sandlin, Kenny Sharrott, Larry Vest, Bobby Long and Tony Vest.
