Coaching change gives Lady Blue Devils ‘New Beginning’

Members of Falkville High School’s girl’s softball team are experiencing a “New Beginning” under first year coach Christy Ferguson and they’ aren’t complaining.

They’re even comfortable repeating the team motto—“Only the Strong Survive –each day before practice.

Ferguson said her association with the Lady Blue Devils, their parents and faculty members has been very positive even though she didn’t officially assume her head coaching duties until the beginning of this school year.

“We had tryouts when school started and have worked very hard at the indoor facility since Jan. 10.”
