Tigers fall on senior night
Hartselle’s Tigers led by three points, 16-13, after one quarter and trailed by only two, 32-34, at halftime before hitting a cold shooting stretch in the second half and going on to lose to Austin’s Black Bears, 72-49, in their final regular season game at home Monday night.
During their first half run Aaron Wooley and Thomas Fleischman each canned eight points while Chance Partlow scored six.
The Black Bears put the game out of reach in the third period by outscoring the Tigers 20 to 12 and grabbing a 54-44 advantage.
Partlow and Fleischman each scored 11 points to pace the Tigers while Terry Wiggins and Aaron Wooley each added 10 points. Isaiah Fowler had seven points. Partlow grabbed nine rebounds and Fowler had five assists.
