A new way to decorate with tea candles or small candles – place them in an iron skillet in a circle and place in the center of your table. For Valentine’s Day use red and white candles.
Match beverage with the weather. Hot for cold weather and cold for hot weather.
Sugar Free Lemon Icebox Pie
1 box instant sugar free vanilla pudding mix
1 small tub Country Time sugar-free lemonade mix
1-1/2 cup skim milk
1 8-ounce tub of cool whip (sugar-free)
2 graham cracker pie shells.
Mix pudding and lemonade and blend slowly. Stir in milk. Blend together with whisk. Fold in cool whip. Pour into pie shells and refrigerate.
Recipes for a Valentine Party:
Cranberry Tea
1 cup cranberry juice
3 cups prepared ice tea
3 T lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar
Combine all ingredients. Serve hot or cold. Makes one quart.
Tuna Sandwich
1 can cream of chicken soup
6-1/2 oz. can of tuna, drained
2 T minced onion
1 T finely minced green pepper
4 slices of toast
Heat soup, tuna, onion and green pepper for 7 to 10 mnutes or until onion and pepper are tender. Spoon over the toast.
Oatmeal Raisin Muffins
2-1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
1 egg beaten
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup raisins
Combine all ingredients and stir with fork. Spoon into muffin tins greased. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
