Sheriff’s Department: Man attacks wife with butcher’s knife

A Hartselle man is facing charges of domestic violence after authorities said he attacked his wife with a butcher’s knife Sunday morning.

Michael Anthony Terry was charged with domestic violence and was booked into the Morgan County Jail with a $2,500 bond.

According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies answered a domestic violence call at 204 Puckett Road Sunday morning.

“Virginia Terry (Terry’s wife) said they had been arguing when Mr. Terry got a butcher knife and stuck her with it three times,” the release states. “Mrs. Terry refused treatment at the scene.”
