J.C. ‘Billy’ Brooks

A graveside service for J. C. “Billy” Brooks, 94, of Andalusia was Monday, February 14, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Grove Church of Christ Cemetery in the family burial plot.
Mr. Brooks died February 10, 2011. He lived his life near Andalusia but had been a resident of the Somerville community for the past 20 years before entering assisted living facilities in Huntsville. He was a Christian all his adult life and was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mittie Huggins Brooks and a daughter, Dr. Linda Brooks.
He is survived by two sons, Lehn Brooks and wife Diana of Huntsville and Lloyd Brooks and wife Margie of Somerville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Linda Y. Brooks Endowment Fund, President’s Office, Faulkner University, Montgomery, AL, 36109.
